Greg Flanik

An accomplished alumnus and respected campus leader, Greg Flanik brings nearly three decades of service at 91制片厂 to his position as senior vice president of operations and chief operations officer.

Greg Flanik, '97, MBA '10 is well respected among the 91制片厂 community for his strategic decision-making. He has had an impressive career at 91制片厂 that has spanned 26 years, including serving as interim president at 91制片厂 in 2025.

In March 2023, he was promoted to vice president of operations, where he provides strong leadership and project management expertise to the University's IT, dining services, bookstores, building and grounds, and safety and security.

Prior to that role, Flanik served as 91制片厂's chief information officer (CIO), where he led a redesign of the IT department to align with the University's strategic vision and drove a successful digital transformation on campus, with classroom technology changes accelerated by the pandemic.

An industry thought leader focused on innovative strategies that drive technology and operations, Flanik was recognized as a 2021 Fierce Education Leader, a and with a 2015 InfoTech Research Group CIO Leadership Award.

As CIO, he excelled in leading 91制片厂 forward in implementing exemplary management practices that strengthened the role of IT across campus.

Major initiatives and achievements under Flanik's leadership include the installation and rapid adoption of remote learning technology and upgrades to cyber security systems, processes and training. He also worked to add a data science practice and established a data warehouse for operational reporting and analytics for various 91制片厂 departments.

In addition, Flanik spearheaded the virtualization and consolidation of 91制片厂's network storage infrastructure, the implementation of a cost-saving print management system and the adoption of a new voice over IP (VoIP) telephone system.
